Loot - Review in the Arizona Republic

"Loot." Cool opening music sets the mood for this snack-size comedy. Written by Mare Biddle and directed by Dominik Rebilas (who did a fantastic job directing "Life X 3"), Paul (Steve Mastroieni) wants to take his years-long affair with Margie (Judy Lebeau) one step further and leave his wife. That way, he and Margie don't have to sneak around because Margie's got the Catholic guilt thing going on: "I sin for you. I sin for you every week!" "Loot" plays with the audience, keeping everyone engaged and grinning.

Double Feature: Tangelico & A Cube With A View - Press About the Show:

You can listen in on our interview with Dave Charest recorded via Skype on Thursday, January 21st.

Phoenix blogger, Kathy, captured her experience seeing our show at Space 55 on her site: It's All About Mie: Nasty Soy Milk and the 29 #2.

Phoenix New Times reviewer Robrt Pela (that's not a typo) loved Brandon, nodded to Sterling, and just about threw me out of the theater. I was "compared to David Mamet" - nice spin for a review quote. Check it out.

Downtown Phoenix Partnership blogged about the show focusing on the social media connection between Sterling and me. You can read it here.

Space 55: Tangelico/Cube Press Release

SPACE 55 ANNOUNCES A RARE DOUBLE-FEATURE EVENT

PHOENIX – January 27, 2010 An online collaboration between two playwrights – one in Canada and the other in Arizona – hits the stage next month as Space 55 Theatre Ensemble presents the world premiere of the paired one-act plays, Tangelico, by Sterling Lynch of Ottawa, Ontario, and A Cube With A View, by Mare Biddle of Phoenix.

"Sterling and I followed each other on Twitter as fellow playwrights. From there we read each other's blogs, started emailing and then worked on each other's material," Biddle said. "Social media fostered our connection and collaboration. Without Twitter, this double feature at Space 55 would never have been created."

The Dramatist, Nov/Dec, 2009
Southwest Region, by Dennis Bush, Southwest Regional Rep

In my ongoing effort to shine the spotlight on Guild members in my region, I’ve turned to a playwright whom I’ve gotten to know through her work, in the past few years. Mare Biddle and I have had our plays featured in the same festivals three times and, each opportunity has given me more reason to appreciate what she brings to the page.
